Background
After establishing itself in China in 2003, Wacker has been growing rapidly in this region. To further support the business growth and leadership localization, in 2005 Jean-Lionel Gros , President of Wacker Greater China, together with Bob Aubrey, Founder and CEO of Metizo, initiated the mentoring program for the high potential employees and future leaders to build up strong local leaders.
Outcomes
The program successfully creates an atmosphere of open communication across borders. It shows a strong commitment to put its people at the centre of the company, whilst seeking to combine the interest of the individual with the interest of the company. It also establishes a culture of supporting long term people development and encouraging initiatives.The top executives use the opportunity to exchange with others in terms of challenges, experiences, opinions, and ways of thinking .
