Due to the fast expansion in the last decade, leadership development for DHL Air Courier China has become critical to better support business growth.
Solution
In 2008, Metizo China was chosen to design a mentoring program customized with DHL’s need for developing people leadership and set standards for future leaders.
From September 2008 to May 2009, 3 senior leaders including the DHL North China GM will accompany the development of 6 Cluster Department Managers as mentees.
Outcomes
- Impact on mentors
Based on self-assessment, mentors have developed in 3 key areas: helping mentees identify their potential and unique competencies for their future career, helping mentees discuss lifestyle issues, and helping mentees solve the career problems of their own team members.
Halfway through the program, all the mentors agree that they are better able to help mentees identify their potential and unique competencies for their future career at DHL.
All the mentors agree that this program has had a positive impact on their people leadership at DHL.
