Sun Yat-Sen University, originally known as Guangdong University, was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen (also called Sun Zhongshan), a great democratic revolutionary leader of the 20th century. The University is located in Guangdong Province, an area neighboring Hong Kong and Macao, which is at the forefront of China’s reform and opening up.
As one of the pioneers among the leading universities in China, Sun Yat-Sen Unversity begins a third semester for all its bachelor students this summer. In the third semester, different activities are designed for the students of different grades, such as military drill, internship, international exchange, etc.
For the 600 Year 2 students, International Business School and Lingnan (Univerisity) College are jointly implementing a Career Planning & Personal Development course, with the objectives of:
Under this circumstance, as the leading company in Personal Development, Metizo was invited to participate in the program design. In June 2010, Ms. Jolie Yu (Metizo Senior Consultant & Regional Director) and Ms. Lily Guo (Metizo Consultant & Certification Manager) went to their beautiful Zhuhai Campus to deliver an inspirational speech to all 600 students and to lead a meeting with all the related teachers on how to follow up the students’ individual PDP.
After the meeting, Mr. Yu Liren, Deputy Secretary of CCP of Lingnan (Univerisity) College, commented, “Metizo personal development approach is very systematic and effective. By creating a Personal Development Plan using Metizo tools, the students will have a much deeper understanding of themselves, as well as of how to link their unique competencies with the real market needs.”
